Yes, the secret is out. After 2 years of rumours, specualation and gossip, full details have been released regarding the construction site at Via Park I & II near to the AP7 toll station in La Zenia, South Costa Blanca.
The main contractor is a company called Immochan who have been the main contractors on several large projects in the South Costa Blanca area. Dos Mares shopping mall in San Javier and the Habineras shopping mall in Torrevieja to name but two.
The name for this new commercial shopping centre will be Zenia Boulevard and will cover approximately 175.000 square meters. This vast area is already under construction with some car parks and access roads already completed. There will also be underground parking which will equate to approximately 5,000 parking spaces.
The supermarket giant Alcampo will have approximately 14.000 square meters for a Hypermarket. 42.000 square meters have been allocated for 150 seperate shops which will include Zara, Pull & Bear along with C&A to name but a few. The site will also include the largest Primark in Europe. Leroy Merlin DIY have been allocated 9.000 square meters and Decathlon Sports and Outdoor persuits have been allocated 5.000 square meters.
Along with the named shops there will also be a large Food Court, a multi screen Cinema as well as a Bowling Alley.
The project is due for completion in November 2012 and with the completion of this project the effects on the Playa Flamenca and South Costa Blanca area will be immence, offering a much needed breath of fresh air to the failing property market and a lifeline to many other small businesses in the surrounding areas and creating approximately 1,800 jobs within the shopping complex.
